Questions before you begin

Is the goal to say no more often?

No. A full yes, limited offer, no or genuinely pending answer can each be accurate. The questions help you understand the commitment and give an answer you mean rather than reward a particular category of response.

Does a smaller offer automatically replace an earlier promise?

No. A smaller proposal can be declined. An earlier accepted responsibility remains separate until it is fulfilled or an actual change or release is agreed through the appropriate process.

Can I check the task while I am doing it?

Yes. The in-progress checkpoint compares actual preparation, time or spending with the accepted limit. It helps you notice a new addition or an overrun while there is still time to clarify it, rather than silently expand the task.
